Many peoples within our archipelago have their own version of shaved ice dessert topped with fruit or other glutinous or sweetened topping. Come and eat them with us and chat with Tiyan and M@ about equatorial fruits – and surrounding concerns – at the overlap of their current research as artists in residence. There will be fruit-opening, screening of video works and an artist talk about their ongoing research around equatorial thinking, heat, language and methods of embodiment.

GETTING HERE:
Testing Grounds is located opposite Queen Victoria Market at 391 Queen Street, Melbourne, Victoria 3000.
Access via garage roller door on Queen St.
Please note: Testing Grounds is not wheelchair accessible. Ground Floor Access options are via either four steps – 25cm deep x 17cm high, another set of four steps – 30cm deep x 20cm high. There is also an option to enter via a ramp with a 1:5 or 11-degree gradient at a length of approximately 4m and a width of approximately 2m.
Please note: Testing Grounds does not have an accessible toilet. The nearest accessible toilets are across the road at the Queen Street public toilets, open until 6pm.
